Although this prayer is not normally heard in the services done in most Orthodox parish churches, it is chanted several times a day in monasteries. It is a lovely prayer, inviting us to pause at times during the day to turn to God and remind ourselves of His love and mercy. When we surround ourselves with beautiful prayers such as this one, perhaps hung on the wall in our prayer corner, we begin to "absorb" some of the truth and beauty of the Church's liturgy.
